Co-Driver - R4 Subaru
Paul Heath's day job is as an engineer in the Royal Air Force, specialising
in weapons systems - so don't upset him!
Paul has always been a keen motorsport spectator. He attended
his first race at the age of 10, and saw Martin Brundle beat
Ayrton Senna at Cadwell Park. Paul's first contact with rallying
came when Kate's work took her to the 1993 RAC Rally and he had
the chance to join her.
Paul's co-driving career began, like so many, with road rally
navigation, but even before then he had shown a flair for map-reading.
Paul was East Anglian Orienteering Champion for two
years in a row whilst still at school. This, combined with being trained
to give orders, made him the natural choice of co-driver
when the pair moved over to stage rallying.
Paul's co-driving talents on both maps and pace notes have been
crucial to the couple's success. He is available for hire to other drivers,
as long as events don't clash with the BRC calendar!
